We are working on so many projects now, our botanic tile app is being tested and preparations are made to put
it in the Apple store.
There is so much to learn, swiftui, new html/css, incorporating AI, where to begin?
Upside-down Yole
Sunday, March 29, 2026
My plan was to go out to the Seaway Marina in Jamaica Bay to work on the Yole, of course I had to sit down and
work a bit on the App store stuff; ended up leaving at 3pm. As it turned out, the wind was so fierce I was almost
blown into the bay. Stored the tools and headed to UMA, my favorite restaurant for a quick meal.
Alas this week the wind remains above 30mph, so more time to do the grunt work on the computer.
Painting by Wifredo Lam
Saturday, March 21, 2026
As I was drinking my coffee, I realized that I missed the Open Data Week at 10; good thing
they always record the sessions, so I can catch up later. Today to the NYPL to return some overdue
books, then a quick visit to the Moma to revisit the Wifredo Lam exhibit. On the way back I decided that I had
enough time to add some relevant images to each day.
View of Manhattan from Brooklyn Bridge Park
Friday, March 20, 2026
Took "The Creative Code" by Marcus du Sauton with me to Brooklyn Waterfront Park; just a quick tour around the
last pier. Reading chapter 3 sitting in the sun and looking at the ferries coming and going. Finally a book
about AI that keeps my attention.
Seagulls hanging out at Rockaway Park Beach
Thursday, March 19, 2026
Out the door to Rockaway Park; first picking up some
books at the Queens Library, then—-if I got the sun to
come out—-walking the beach to 108 Street. Who knows, maybe a quick fried calamari snack at the Rockaway Hotel,
before getting on the bus to 116 street to catch the A-Train back to Brooklyn. I am still debating whether to add
links in these little daily blurbs.
